Swimmer Caught Tweeting During 4x100m Relay
Will the 2012 Olympics be remembered for all the the competing…or the tweeting?
While two athletes and one journalist have already been banned from London’s Summer Games for their inflammatory Twitter posts, several others have felt the backlash of typing first and thinking later.
Australian swimmer Emily Seebohm is the latest to face criticism for checking her Twitter page in the middle of the women’s 4x100m medley relay.
“In hindsight, it did cost our team the gold medal,” a disappointed Seebohm told OMGG.com. “But on the other hand, I couldn’t wait to find out why Scott Baio was trending.”
