Will the 2012 Olympics be remembered for all the the competing…or the tweeting?
While two athletes and one journalist have already been banned from London’s Summer Games for their inflammatory Twitter posts, several others have felt the backlash of typing first and thinking later.
Australian swimmer Emily Seebohm is the latest to face criticism for checking her Twitter page in the middle of the women’s 4x100m medley relay.
“In hindsight, it did cost our team the gold medal,” a disappointed Seebohm told OMGG.com. “But on the other hand, I couldn’t wait to find out why Scott Baio was trending.”
Rihanna and Chris Brown are soooo over.
The 24-year old diva, reportedly unhappy after being called Brown’s “old bitch” in his new song, did the unthinkable and unfollowed him on Twitter last night.
OMGG.com sat down with the cold-hearted Rihanna, who said that if Brown doesn’t apologize soon, she may even consider changing her Facebook status to “single.”
“Having a man write negative lyrics about you is the most painful thing a woman can go through,” revealed the pop star, who paused a moment before adding, “Actually, getting punched in the face by the dude kind of hurt, too.”
Matthew McConaughey won’t make a run for the border anytime soon.
The actor (and we use that term loosely) says Taco Bell’s “no shirt, no service” policy is discriminatory, and he’s filed a lawsuit against the fast food chain.
“Nobody tells McConaughey to put on a shirt,” said the narcissistic star of We Are Marshall.
Taco Bell spokesman Robert Zazzali called the lawsuit frivolous, pointing out that customers are welcome to use the drive-thru topless, if they prefer.
McConaughey took to his Twitter page this afternoon to respond: Drive-thru? Sorry, but if I’m eating Taco Bell I’m way too stoned to drive.
Yahoo! Sports reported last week that NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress knows how to read, and even does so recreationally since being released from prison in June.

“Amazing!” exclaimed Harvard professor Stephen Kehnel, who invited the New York Jets star to speak to his Principles of Economics class in the spring.
But philosophers and scholars aren’t the only ones who’ve been blown away by Plax’s beautiful mind.
Upon learning that one of his teammates was an actual reader, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez jumped on twitter to send the following congratulatory note:
Me so hapy 4 u Placksicko. Gud werk!
Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell are warring again…this time via twitter.
The loudmouths went at each other hard, throwing around such cyber-insults as Rosie’s “go back to selling snake oil – #bankruptmuch?” and Donald’s “@rosie: focus on your horrible ratings.”
Like two brazen warriors, the egomaniacs went head-to-head from the comfort of their office chairs.
“I never back down from anyone online,” a defiant Trump told OMGG.com. “If that pig really wants to go at it, I may even send her a nasty text next time.”
When Dean McDermott accidentally tweeted a topless photo of his wife Tori Spelling, he was initially devastated.
“Two weeks later, it turned out to be the greatest thing I’ve ever done,” admitted McDermott. “Every time I Google myself there are literally hundreds of new articles about me.”
The actor told OMGG.com that in the future, he plans on exploiting more than just his wife’s body.
“If a pic of Tori’s saggy breasts can make me relevant again, imagine what’ll happen when I tweet a pic of my nutsack,” said the giddy 45-year old.
Demi Moore announced today that she will divorce Ashton Kutcher, and it has nothing to do with the Sara Leal cheating scandal.
“To put it simply, he just got too old,” Moore confessed.
The 33-year old Kutcher responded to the divorce via twitter, as he’s too socially inept to communicate any other way.
“As soon as I got my first wrinkle, I knew I was dead to her,” he tweeted. “Last week, she tried to seduce my 2.5 Men co-star Angus T. Jones.”
After an abundance of harsh criticism came his way for tweeting his support of Joe Paterno, Ashton Kutcher said he will quit twitter until he can properly manage his feed.
“This is the worst day of my life,” said 16-year old Tanya Kyko. “Now how will I know when Two and a Half Men is on?”
Kutcher’s twitter feed currently has over 8.2 million followers, more than CNN or Oprah.
“I could kill Jerry (Sandusky) with my bare hands,” Joe Paterno said after hearing the news. “Molesting kids is one thing, but taking down aplusk is truly unforgivable.”
